Each year at the Order of the Coif ceremony, the Law Library proudly recognizes students who have published legal scholarship in reputable publications. While it is easy for us to track publications in the University of Richmond School of Law’s three journals, it’s much more difficult to identify student work published elsewhere.
If you’ve been published, or will be published, during the 2024–2025 academic year, we want to make sure you are invited. This includes:
- Articles in any reputable legal publication, including those outside our own
- Work co-authored with faculty
- Forthcoming publications
If this applies to you or someone you know, please send the name and publication details (journal name, article title, etc.) to Mads Ball (madeleine.ball@richmond.edu). If you are unsure whether your publication qualifies, feel free to reach out and ask.
If your work appears in a UR journal, no need to worry — we already have that information.
An invitation to the Order of the Coif ceremony is a prestigious recognition of your scholarly contributions. Don’t miss the chance to be celebrated for your hard work and contribution to legal scholarship.
