Did you know that the law school has its very own in-house artist? If not, let me introduce you to Kim Edwards! Richmond Law’s Director of Technology is very active in art both in and out of The Commons. Many students have received one of her personally crafted images with a witty quote in our exam time goody bags that are handed out each semester (including the hand-painted Positive Potatoes in this year’s bags). She frequently hosts different interactive art events to give us a break from the law school grind. Currently, she has custom greetings cards and watercolor bookmarks for sale at multiple locations throughout Virginia, which are located at Midlothian Book Exchange and Walls Alive in Williamsburg, VA. She has participated in artist meet-and-greets at both stores. Art has been her passion for many years, it’s a pleasure to see what she comes up with year after year. Keep your eyes peeled (Positive Potato pun) for any of her artwork that’s displayed throughout the law school and if you’d like to stay up-to-date…just visit Kim Edwards Art for the inside scoop!
