During Summer 2022, Richmond Law Library will undergo perhaps one of the biggest changes in the library’s history. We’re transforming the library’s first and second floors to create a reading room, expand options for seating, and add new study rooms. This is part of a building-wide project to address much-needed heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) needs. We also need to enhance accessibility for health and safety reasons. Check out the Building Renovation Updates page for details, including answers to many questions.
Included below are concept drawings for the spaces in the fist and second floor. Stop by the library to see these details on large posters. Please provide input about any aspect of the law school renovation project, including feedback on anything planned in the library.
We will continue to post updates about our Library Renovation with posts on this blog and on the main law school web page. We appreciate the input and hope the disruptions will be offset by the improvements to our spaces and study options.
Oh, and don’t worry: With the new configuration, we’ll still have plenty of books, as well as the same services and staff.
