Britain Talks Relationships

Britain has sent a list of proposals to European partners on Tuesday. These proposals have sparked debated between Britain and other European countries on whether or not they [Britain] should stay a member of the “reformed” E.U. Critics are saying that Britain is being too explicit with their demands.

Prime minister David Cameron says that he is in favor of staying in the E.U. However, it is stated:

Cameron has promised to hold a referendum on Britain’s membership in the E.U. before the end of 2017, the outcome of which could fundamentally reshape both Britain and the E.U.

As you can see, the position Britain will take in the E.U within the upcoming years, is completely up in the air, seeing as anything could happen. Cameron said that if they vote to leave the E.U. then they will leave and will not revote.

The decision to leave has come with opposition however. Many people foresee the decision to leave as being problematic.

European Commission spokesman Margaritis Schinas said that some of Cameron’s demands were “highly problematic as they touch upon the fundamental freedoms of the internal market,” the Reuters news agency reported.

This decision, if Britain decides to leave the E.U, will immensely change relationships between European nations.
