Introduction:
British director, John Boorman, took a rare true life story of the 20th century and reconstructed a movie in 1985 known as The Emerald Forest. The film stars Powers Booth as Bill, the american dam engineer that loses his son to an indigenous tribe, which results in a 10 year search to bring his abducted son back home. Surprisingly, Bill finds his grown son, now Tommé, as a member of the indigenous tribe and Tommé wants to continue living life in the amazonian forest. After several adventures and realizing that he can not influence Tommé to leave the Indian tribe, the father gains a new sense of appreciation for the amazonian rainforest.
