America’s Secret Cities
During World War 2, my hometown of Oak Ridge, Tennessee was involved in a web of cities across the United States working secretly to produce the first nuclear weapons. My Story Map investigates the impact of the cities of the Manhattan Project and how their work at a local scale transformed the world in such a drastic way.
