Claire McLam is a member of the class of 2022, pursuing a major in psychology and a minor in healthcare studies on the pre-nursing track. After completing an undergraduate degree, she plans to attend graduate school to pursue a master’s in the science of nursing and become a nurse practitioner. Her research interests include ADHD, impulsivity, and reward systems. She is originally from Ridgefield, Connecticut and enjoys playing guitar, singing, and enjoying time with friends and family.
Brianna Charlton is a member of the class of 2022, pursuing a major in Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience and a minor in Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies. She plans to become a neurologist, and one day start a nonprofit that raises awareness about mental health amongst underrepresented communities. Brianna is originally from Richmond, VA and enjoys painting and joking around with her friends in her free time.

Natalie Benham (Class of 2023) is a junior from Smithfield, VA. She is double majoring in Biology and Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience. After graduation, she is planning on continuing her education for Neuropsychology, and hopes to eventually work with children. Outside of research and academics, she enjoys trying new food, taking naps, traveling, socializing with friends, and running/working out.
Jasmin Rubiera, Class of 2023, is pursuing a B.S. in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience and a minor in Biology. She is interested in the way the brain influences human behaviors. After graduation, she hopes to attend law school and become an attorney. She is from Chambersburg, PA, and she enjoys music, baking, and spending quality time with loved ones.
Eve Ridenhour is a member of the class of 2024 pursuing a BA in Psychology and Leadership Studies with a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She is originally from Wheeling, West Virginia and hopes to pursue a career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In her free time Eve enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, working out, and spending time with friends and family.
Hannah Fiechtl, ’23, is from Staunton, VA and is pursuing a BA in Psychology with a minor in Linguistics. After undergrad, she hopes to study historical linguistics at the graduate level. She enjoys learning about historical handicrafts and using historical methods paired with her own innovations to create projects of her own.
Sophie Hardten is a member of the class of 2022, pursuing a double major in psychology and health studies with a minor in Chinese studies. Her research investigates the Other Race Effect using an attentional blink paradigm. Directly after graduation, she plans to engage in a gap-year fellowship working to reduce health disparities. Down the road, she aspires to work in the field of mental health, earning a doctorate in psychiatric advanced nursing practice. Sophie’s hometown is in Minneapolis, MN, but she would like to experience living on the West coast or abroad once she graduates. Outside of the lab, she loves to take walks by the river, try new recipes, and listen to oldies.
Cam Smith (Class of 2022) is a senior from Los Angeles, CA, pursuing a degree in Cognitive Science and Psychology with double minors in Healthcare Studies and Dance. She joined the lab in the spring of 2020 and enjoys learning about and researching the connection between clinical neuroscience and cognition. After graduating, she hopes to pursue a Ph.D in Clinical Neuropsychology or Neuroscience. Outside of the lab, she enjoys dancing, rollerskating, and filmmaking.
With exception of Dr. Bukach, Pemberley has been a part of the lab longer than any current member. She shows up everyday with a positive attitude and spry personality that brings a special element to the lab. She specializes in treats, belly rubs, and light games tug of war.
