I wasn\u2019t planning on living in Michigan for more than maybe two or three weeks this summer. I\u2019m starting to get used to it here\u2014it\u2019s easy for me to readapt to home. But I\u2019m 21\u2014I should be moving forward, living new experiences, having a life of my own. But it\u2019s hard to plan in this. It\u2019s hard to move forward when you\u2019re stuck in time.<br \/>\nMaybe we need to get over this urge to always be moving forward.<\/p>\n<p><em>March 25<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s like life is totally on hold. Looking forward at my calendar is so bizarre because there\u2019s literally nothing set or present for MONTHS. It\u2019s never like that.<br \/>\nIt makes it a lot easier to live in the moment, though. I\u2019m usually looking forward and counting down all of the time. In this space, I have no choice but to be here, now.<\/p>\n<p><em>April 28<\/em><\/p>\n<p>thank you, God,<br \/>\nfor this momentary pause.<br \/>\nfor forcing us to shut up when we refuse to be quiet.<br \/>\nfor the action outside, thunder and lightening<br \/>\nwhen being in here starts to feel too still.<\/p>\n<p>thank you for this purposeful pause<br \/>\nfor making us breathe and realize it. we sometimes forget to realize the miracle that we are breathing.<br \/>\nfor the time and a chance to reevaluate, reposition, reframe, reflect, regroup,<br \/>\nrejuvenate.<\/p>\n<p>so that hopefully, after all this, we can go forward in new<br \/>\nand loving<br \/>\nstrength for each other.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Nina Joss April 15 It\u2019s not just being stuck in place that\u2019s hard, but maybe even more so, stuck in time.
