They are either new changes or observations I had never stopped to notice before.<\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ace-line\" data-node-type=\"line\"><span class=\"author-3593385384 font-size-medium\">Dogs barking<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ace-line\" data-node-type=\"line\"><span class=\"author-3593385384 font-size-medium\" style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\">Children playing, throwing insults at each other<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ace-line\" data-node-type=\"line\">The taste of fresh, sweet, slightly fermented orange juice that I make when our oranges start to go bad; you can\u2019t really buy produce in bulk, but we still try<\/li>\n<li class=\"ace-line\" data-node-type=\"line\"><s>No police sirens\u00a0<\/s><span class=\"author-3593385384 font-size-medium\" style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\">\u00a0 never-mind, I heard sirens (April 17)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ace-line\" data-node-type=\"line\">Flower petal chips rustling on the ground when the wind picks them up<\/li>\n<li class=\"ace-line\" data-node-type=\"line\">The loudest crunch humanly possible when my dad eats his sandwich every day<\/li>\n<li class=\"ace-line\" data-node-type=\"line\">The smell of burnt bread when my dad makes his sandwiches every day<\/li>\n<li class=\"ace-line\" data-node-type=\"line\"><span class=\"author-3593385384 font-size-medium\" style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\">The creaking floor at night when someone walks upstairs to go to bed or downstairs for a snack<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ace-line\" data-node-type=\"line\">Ballet class piano pieces that get stuck in my head after playing them for so long (for Ballet course, not for pleasure. Let it be known that I have better taste in classical music than that.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ace-line\" data-node-type=\"line\">My computer humming and heating below my fingers. It\u2019s protesting Zoom.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ace-line\" data-node-type=\"line\">The taste of black tea with oat-milk and a pinch of cardamom for breakfast<\/li>\n<li class=\"ace-line\" data-node-type=\"line\">My parents switching to their \u201cprofessional voice\u201d on camera. For my mom, that means a lower register with more intention.
