I have been home for eight days. My parents are very busy adjusting and getting everything in order. I have been trying to stay out of their way as much as possible so they can do their jobs. For the past week, my dad was still going to work and recording his lectures there, but his university has shut down and now he will also be at home. Antonio\u2019s school is shut down for now, but next week he will have online instruction as well.<\/span><\/div>\n

Because our internet is garbage, no two people can zoom at the same time. We have a local network, and x-finity. But both cut out frequently, so we usually bounce between the two networks. We blocked out our class schedules onto a flashcard so we could see when there were conflicts. When someone in the family has a zoom meeting no one else in the family can use that connection.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Last week, my mother forgot to switch to the other network when I had class and I could not attend my class. It was anxiety-inducing. I had a very hard time keeping calm when I explained to her why I couldn\u2019t attend the class. Losing my composure was not an option, and it can\u2019t be an option for the rest of the quarantine.<\/span><\/div>\n

Before going to the grocery store, I stopped by Popo\u2019s house to get a coupon for her eye drops. She showed me a notice of someone in her building posted. It basically said that they had extra food if anyone needed it. Popo wanted to know how to pronounce the name and if it was a boy or girl’s name. I went to the store and got her eye drops (at half the price). That was my first time outside in a week. Giants had everything except the stuff you really want.
