<\/a>JESS DANKENBRING<\/strong> is a s<\/span>enior<\/span> majoring in <\/span>Journalism<\/span> with minors in Visual Media Arts Practice and Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies<\/span>.\u00a0 <\/span>She was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado before moving to Richmond, Virginia. She spends weekends taking on new adventures, whether a new backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail or a visit to the newest patisserie in town. Her education has been heavily influenced by UR’s\u00a0arts programs, which have allowed her to experiment with painting, printmaking, drawing, digital and darkroom photography, and graphic design.  <\/p>\n

\"Rebecca<\/a>REBECCA FISHER<\/strong>\u00a0is a junior Journalism student minoring in sociology, politics and the Irish language. She is\u00a0<\/span>an exchange student from the National University of Ireland, Galway. Her love for writing and reporting\u00a0<\/span>was inspired\u00a0by her home university’s student newspaper, and she has carried that love with her to\u00a0<\/span>UR. She has loved getting to know Richmond through her work\u00a0on the Out of Eden\u00a0<\/span>project, and hopes to one day return to the city to further that understanding through her work. <\/a>KEVIN JOHNSON\u00a0<\/strong>is a junior majoring in Journalism at the University of Richmond. He splits his time evenly between editing the on-campus Forum Magazine, spinning records and reviewing music for the campus radio station WDCE, and publishing work in Richmond Magazine downtown. He still manages to find time to spend with the Out Of Eden project, and has enjoyed practicing slow journalism. Diving deep into Highland Park has been a rewarding, if challenging, experience. <\/a>MAGGIE LATIMER<\/strong> is a junior majoring in Geography and double minoring in Environmental Studies and Religious Studies.\u00a0 She is involved on campus as a Student Ambassador in the Office of Admissions, a Cultural Advisor in the Office of Common Ground, and serves as Co-President of the UR Geographic Society.\u00a0 After graduation, she hopes to travel the world and do nonprofit work with humanitarian aid and development organization<\/span>s<\/span>.\u00a0 As a Richmond native, she enjoys exploring the city, especially its many parks, museums, and restaurant scene.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a>SUNNY LIM<\/strong> is a junior from California<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>majoring in Journalism with a minor in Women, Gender and<\/span> Sexuality Studies. Stories have always been her passion<\/span>: W<\/span>hen her <\/span>four<\/span>-year-old self started<\/span> reading, she grabbed onto books and has never let them go. Her classes, personal<\/span> learning, and the Out of Eden project have reminded her again why she loves writing and<\/span> reading.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Thess\"<\/a>THESS PFFERR<\/strong>, who hails from Madrid, Spain, <\/span>is a junior <\/span>pursuing<\/span> a bilingual ma<\/span>j<\/span>or in Journalism <\/span>with an additional <\/span>focus <\/span>o<\/span>n law, politics, and<\/span> languages<\/span>.<\/span> H<\/span>er year at UR<\/span>\u00a0follows her<\/span>\u00a0graduation\u00a0from high school in<\/span> Washington State and a summer of\u00a0<\/span>study\u00a0<\/span>in the Netherlands. <\/span>At<\/span> 16<\/span>,<\/span> she <\/span>began writing <\/span>for a political<\/span> magazine in <\/span>Madrid<\/span>. Thess is passionate about reading and writing, but photojournalism is<\/span> her second love. Her cover<\/span>age<\/span> of Jeff Davis<\/span> Corridor<\/span> gave her a richer understanding of Richmond. T: @thesspfferr<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a>CONOR TENBUS<\/strong> Conor is a junior majoring in Geography with a minor in Economics. In <\/span>h<\/span>is <\/span>three years<\/span> at UR<\/span>, he has changed majors four times<\/span>,<\/span> from Economics to Computer Science to Film Studies to Geography. With so many rapidly changing academic interests, Conor often finds himself <\/span>wondering <\/span>what’s next<\/span>. When his ankle isn\u2019t broken, he spends <\/span>his free <\/span>time playing for UR\u2019s ultimate frisbee team. Originally from rural Missouri, Conor enjoyed experiencing <\/span>inner-city<\/span> Richmond slowly and completely through the Out of Eden project. I: @conortenbus<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n


\n\"Kay<\/a>KAY TRULASKE<\/strong> is a junior at the University of Richmond, double majoring in Journalism and<\/span> French, with an Environmental Studies minor. Originally from St. Louis, Kay traveled<\/span> to Richmond, Virginia, excited for the life-changing opportunity to study abroad <\/span>during <\/span>her junior <\/span>year<\/span>, <\/span>as <\/span>many UR students<\/span> do<\/span>. After studying for a semester in Paris,<\/span> Kay returned to the U.S. more aware of the world and its people. <\/a>JASON VILLAFRANCA<\/strong> is a former U.S. Army Senior Intelligence Sergeant and Operation Enduring Freedom combat veteran currently majoring in Geography with a focus in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).\u00a0 Jason’s plan is to utilize skills learned in the military intelligence field and adapt them into the private sector of the emerging field of GIS technologies.\u00a0 Outside of academia, Jason is a husband to his wonderful wife Hartley and father to his ten-year-old daughter, Taylor. \"IMG_3252\"<\/a>BROOKE WARNER<\/strong> is a sophomore double majoring in Journalism and Political Science with a minor in Spanish. Currently the editor-in-chief of UR\u2019s Forum Magazine, she hopes to continue working in journalism after college. Brooke is passionate about Spanish language and culture and was excited to immerse herself in the Hispanic community in Jeff Davis for\u00a0this project. She is from Georgia, so she enjoyed getting<\/span> off campus and<\/span> into the heart of Richmond<\/span>,<\/span> with<\/span> the opportunity to tell the stories of <\/span>the <\/span>fascinating people<\/span> she met.
