Keller Hall, named after Westhampton College’s first dean, Dr. May Lansfield Keller, was originally known as the “Women’s Activities Building.”\u00a0 In addition to a gymnasium, office space, and a tea room, from 1936-67 it also housed the Music Department on its second floor.\u00a0 Additionally, a music room was established on the third floor of the tower, to hold the grand piano and music collection donated by the parents of Margaret James, a Westhampton alumna who had died in 1931.\u00a0 The Margaret James Room would later become the first home of the University’s music library.<\/p>\n
