Nut wears a dress made of a net-like material and a red girdle resembling the Knot of Isis, a common protective design. Nut was the sky goddess and also the mother of the gods.<\/p>\n<p>Nut\u2019s depiction on the interior faces of both the top and bottom of the coffin was intended to ensure the protection of the deceased.
