{"id":470,"date":"2012-11-28T22:08:26","date_gmt":"2012-11-29T03:08:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.richmond.edu\/time\/?p=470"},"modified":"2012-11-28T22:08:26","modified_gmt":"2012-11-29T03:08:26","slug":"afternoon-of-a-faun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.richmond.edu\/time\/2012\/11\/28\/afternoon-of-a-faun\/","title":{"rendered":"Afternoon of a Faun"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This piece was amazing because the changes in tempo caused differing phenomenological experiences for me. \u00a0When the tempo slowed down, I could feel my heart slowing down whereas when the piece sped up, I could feel my heart racing. \u00a0Furthermore, this selection reminded me of my childhood, which was very interesting. \u00a0Surprisingly, I found myself thinking about the first times I rode a bike. \u00a0When the terrain was level and normal, I felt in control of my life much like when <em>Afternoon of a Faun\u00a0<\/em>was in adagio and very slow.
