Mid-term Class Community Self-Assessment
Please read over the class community commitments: https://blog.richmond.edu/storytelling2023/class-commitments/
Consider your own actions so far this semester in light of these commitments.
Write a letter to yourself, and copy Professor Dolson. In the letter, assess your efforts to live up to the commitments.
- Explain where you have done well. Which commitment is easiest for you? Give examples of how you are meeting this commitment.
- Explain where you are struggling. Which commitment is challenging? What example or evidence can you give that show your struggle?
- Consider the class as a whole: where do you see us meeting the commitments? Where are falling short as a group?
- What do you want to do differently based on this reflection?
Format: Please make this a Word document or equivalent. I have no preferences for font, size, or number of words. But the length should not exceed 2 pages.
Please PRINT the letter and bring it to class on Tuesday, Oct. 3
Grading: This is worth 5 points, distributed as follows:
Careful reading of the commitments is evident: 1 point
Careful use of evidence and examples: 2 points
Insightful conclusions, based solidly on the self-assessment: 2 points
