I know today you will be handing in your next short close analysis paper, and I am looking forward to reading them. \u00a0You also are working on revising your last short analysis, and I can’t remember if I gave you an explicit due date, so here it is: The re-do of the short analysis is due the Wednesday in class.<\/p>\n

One thing that is very helpful for learning and also for me to assess the work in a re-do is if you will track your changes in Word, and turn in the revision showing (instead of hiding) those marked changes. \u00a0MAC USERS Instructions on how to do that are here<\/a><\/p>\n

And you can always do it the old fashioned way: print our your revision, and underline anything you have changed, put a editor’s carrot where you took something out, and hand in your marked up draft with the new draft.<\/p>\n

This way of tracking your revisions gives you a great visual way to LOOK at what kind of writing decisions you are making, and to reflect on how you are responding to the teacher\/editor’s comments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
