I would definitely\u00a0say that I&#8217;m a listener rather than a talker.\u00a0Growing up, I always seemed to be listening to my friends&#8217; and siblings&#8217; problems, so I&#8217;ve had a lot of practice becoming an empathetic listener. I do, however, like to give advice and will sometimes\u00a0add my own opinions and interjections, so I have to be aware of that when in the classroom. Going off that, when\u00a0it comes to adding my own ideas, I tend to not say as much as others in the classroom, but when I do I like to put a lot into what I say. Although I might only speak once or twice in a class period, I really like to take time to think about what I am going to say and formulate it perfectly before sharing.\u00a0I&#8217;m typically not the type of person to go off the cuff because I want to make sure what I&#8217;m saying is clear before speaking.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over the course of the semester, I hope to incorporate my listening skills into this classroom.
