Her maid was dumped as soon as her boyfriend found out that she was from another class. It\u2019s extremely unfair. I remembered that the author says \u201cit\u2019s not her fault that she was born where she was born.\u201d\u00a0 Being born in a lower social class does\u2019t mean that her density is predetermined. Being born in a lower social class does\u2019t mean that she has no chance to change her life. Being born in a lower social class does\u2019t mean that her future is bond to be bleak.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, I was really touched by the author\u2019s grandmother\u2019s words: \u201cIn life, you will meet a lot of jerks. If they hurt you, tell yourself that it\u2019s because they\u2019re stupid. That will help keep you from reaction to their cruelty. Because there is nothing worse\u00a0 than bitterness and vengeance\u2026 Always keep your dignity and be true to yourself.\u201d\u00a0 Sometimes it\u2019s about forgiveness, but more often it\u2019s about remembering that you have much more important and meaningful things to do rather than wasting time on those jerks.\u00a0 I hope we can talk more about this in class!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After reading this graphic novel, I was impressed by how incisive a kid\u2019s viewpoint could be.\u00a0 When the author was young, she realized that one of the biggest problems of her society is the huge gap between the difference social classes.
