When we first drove through Bon Air I was quite surprised. I had seen pictures of places like this but had never actually been inside of one before. I found the tall fences and the small, scattered brick buildings quite shocking and uninviting. I was not entirely sure what to think of the place. I had almost expected to see people outside working or relaxing or something but the place seemed devoid of life. When we walked into the building, I found it more comforting to be in a room that felt almost like a classroom. However, I was immediately uncomfortable again once the person doing the fingerprints began making the process seem extremely formal and difficult. As I was waiting to go in for fingerprinting I was slightly worried that the other questions I was hearing about would catch me off guard. When I actually did go into the fingerprinting room I found the process far less intimidating. I had expected all of my forms to be looked at and questioned, and far more difficult questions than simply my height and eye color. I found it kind of funny when she would ask if we were missing any fingers before we actually did the fingerprinting.
