When we have a story to tell, our first thought is who can I tell this to? Who would appreciate the story that I am about to tell? You wouldn&#8217;t tell your dad about how a boy has been flirting with you and today he finally made a move. Audience is key when telling a story but finding a way to engage that audience is to make the story come alive in a way they&#8217;ll understand. Besides making other people feel connected while storytelling, the storyteller himself feels &#8220;relevant&#8221; because he is saying something of value\u00a0that others can relate to. Ultimately, a storyteller has an important job when tasked with telling a story.
