Monday’s work

Today in class the members of the Tuesday group and I wrote the introduction to our chapter. We decided to address it to the boys as we want them to be our primary audience.

To The Boys of 62,

From “I Am” poems to our epic dance party, you have made our past five Tuesday nights something to look forward to. Thank you for opening up to each of us by sharing your stories, and for allowing us to share ours. We will never forget the deer with the durag, your countless basketball victories, Peanut Live 215, and showing us how to crank that elbow. We’ve created this book, which will hold our stories, to make sure that you never forget us. Hopefully in the future you can look back on this and smile.
