3rd Bon Air Visit

I feel much more successful in this trip to Bon Air than previous ones. Galvino was a lot more open in sharing stories with me and seemed more interested in listening to my stories as well. When we talked about our best day he talked about the time when he visited Tennessee with his father and brother and they went to the Clippers vs. Grizzlies game. He seemed happy to reminisce about this positive time in his life. He also shared with me a story about a time when he went to the beach with his cousins and brother and told me he might want this to be the story to go into the project.

During this visit he asked me questions about college life and seemed genuinely interested in my personal life; this interest was never present before. He asked about the parties and told me that he’s not much of a drinker but he does smoke occasionally which didn’t make me uncomfortable to discuss.

When I told him about my best day it was with my home friends and he asked me if I missed them. I said yes and I asked him the same, but he said he didn’t miss any of them. He seemed happy to get away from his friends, so he must have had a falling out with them or maybe they were a bad crowd and were the reason for him being in juvenile detention.

I found out a lot more about Galvino today and hopefully it will continue to be this productive for our last two visits.
