10/19 Class Notes

Annotated Bibliography Information (Final due Monday 10/24)

  • Must be in the Chicago format (base, not author-date) despite the rubric saying MLA.
  • Use easybib for the citations. Make an account and enter the coupon code UniRIchmond210 to unlock Chicago.
  • It is a good idea to include the actual source the story comes from, but not necessarily required.
  • Split the summary and the description of the source’s usefulness into two paragraphs.
  • Not all of the sources need to be directly about the story and the sources can be from a website as long as it’s credible.
  • Do not go into the details of the story for bibliography as this will be done in the performance plan. The main point of the summary is to identify what the source is (book, website, article, etc.).
  • The most important part is the paragraph explaining what makes the source useful.
  • Think about how stories come to be known.

Bon Air

  • In blog posts, don’t simply summarize what happened. Write observations also.
  • Mention what the stories were, but also write about how those stories may relate to the resident’s identities.
  • Also give through to what we may learn from these meetings.

Storytelling

  • If we can find a night we all are free, we can tell the stories in the amphitheater. We would not have to go to class those days.
