The Second Time at Bon Air

Unfortunately, this visit there was a mix-up, and everyone at Bon Air thought that we weren’t coming. The kids didn’t get there until very late.  From the time I did get one on one with Sage, I saw a big improvement on how he seemed to view me.  He called me Tilley instead of Miss Mentor.  I’m glad were connecting on a more personal level instead of the original formal one.  Sage and I both admitted we were tired today, but that didn’t stop us from making nice conversation.  After we told stories about school that reminded us both of memories from home.  We just shared with each other about being normal kids until it was time to go.  I get a feeling that Sage is one of the more mature ones of the group, and he really wants to change.  He always makes comments about wanting a fresh start and seems to be an ambassador for everyone. Every time we meet I am more impressed with him.  I hope next week we get more one on one time.  I noticed that the group as a whole was better at coming up with a story even if it took some prompting.  I hope each trip to Bon Air keeps getting better.
