Philippines Origin Story

I really wanted to find a story from a culture I was not very familiar with.  I came across this creation myth from the Philippines that I had never heard.  The story is about how just the sky and the sea created (in an act of defense against their grandchildren’s attack) the sun, moon, stars, and land.  They were responsible for growing people out of a bamboo shoot and changing their skin color with various punishments like a lightening bolt or relocating them to a place where the sun scorched their skin brown.  There is a lot more to the story that just this short summary.  It is very interesting and I’m excited to research it further.
