  • We still need license photos from a few people to send to Beverly
    • You can use a scanner app to email the pdf to Professor Dolson
  • Professor Dolson has put a copy of two books about the juvenile system on reserve in the library and requests that we all read these before we head to Bon Air to familiarize us with what the buildings will look like
  • Something to think about: we have a big analysis paper coming up. It will be on either The Good Times are Killing Me or Persepolis.
    • If you have already started an analysis on one of these, you can still do your paper on that book.
  • We split into groups to figure out how to grow an argument from analysis
  • The book probably took place around the 60s and was placed in Seattle
  • We discussed themes of The Good Times are Killing Me
    • When she was emotionally unstable, she often connected her emotions to music and creates a memory based on this music
      • Music was a constant in her life while most things in her life started to become inconsistent
    • Every kid wants to be special and they want to be recognized for being special. This is shown with Edna and Ellen during their younger years.
  • Our re-do analysis papers are due Wednesday.
