Persepolis
I really enjoyed reading this. We, as Americans, often overlook the hardships of the citizens during civil wars across seas. While reading Persepolis, I was curious as to why Marji’s parents were once against her protesting the government yet, when tensions began to grow, they allowed her to move to the streets. Also, the parents despised the government yet why were they so against leaving the country for the potential for a better life?
