What I Can Bring to the Table

Hey everyone, it’s Maria here!

Professor Dolson has asked us to write what makes us unique and what we can bring to the table. Well to begin, I’m definitely a talker, and once something connects in my head, I’m quick to say something. I’m going to be trying out the role of listener in this class because sometimes it’s better to listen than to respond. Besides this, I think I’m different because I’m of  Puerto Rican and Dominican descent, which allows me to bring a culturally different angle to class discussions. Lastly, I believe I’m different because I always try to point out (what I think) is the unpopular or unidentifiable perspective. I hope to help us open our minds a bit and discuss the points less quickly recognized.
