Bon Air First Impression

When Professor Dolson was describing our visit to get fingerprinted, I was under the impression that we would be walking through the jail. I was very nervous to do this as I’ve never been to a jail and was not sure what to expect. As we drove through the campus I was very intimidated at the tall, barbed wired fences. I expected it to have far less security and be more of an open community. There was a lot of outside space but no one was outside even though it was a nice day. When we went into the building to get fingerprinted, the woman who was in charge seemed to be very tense over the instructions to be completed. I expected that they would not require many regulations on the forms as it is required for our class to participate. The actual process of fingerprinting was very fast. Seeing the actual campus makes me more nervous as it makes me think the kids in the system require much more regulation than I thought.
