Another song on The Dark Side of the Moon that can be interpreted as a critique on culture within society could be “Speak To Me.” The brief one minute and eight second song has the money printing sound and cash register effect that is also seen in “Money.” Also included are short, quiet, yet vivid lyrics that describe people being mad. The lines also prevails not only to money but working hard for money through synonyms, “Been working me buns off for bands.”

“Time” is a very popular song on the album and has a similar idea to it as “Money.” The song is all about how people are moving too fast and need to slow down and take time to enjoy the great things in life. The band also uses synthesizers to slow down the chorus as if they are slowing down time. “Money” and “Time” are two songs that motivate listeners to step outside of their normal lives and stop worrying about how they need to move faster to make more money. There is more to life than a race to the top.
