Pink Floyd is not meant to be watched, it is meant to be listened to. The band is well known for their great music and their extravagant light shows. Although the only lights noticed for the majority of the performance are behind the band, whenever someone begins to sing, a spotlight will appear on them for a second. Many popular bands use light shows but they also include the appearance aspect. If someone goes to watch Kiss live, they will see the big costumes and makeup. If someone goes to a Led Zeppelin concert, they will see Robert Plant in his famous unbuttoned shirt. Pink Floyd is not known for their iconic fashion, they wear t-shirts and jeans to their concerts because the music experience is what matters the most. Watching Pink Floyd live gives someone the same feeling as if they are at home, laying in bed with their eyes closed, listening to music. One aspect of their performances that is common is the strobe light during a guitar solo. The light amplifies the feeling of their music.
