Wildlife Bridges Maintain Habitat Connectivity

Wildlife migration and habitat corridors often conflict with major road and highway systems. This photo depicts a wildlife bridge in Montana designed to help large mammals, such as moose and bear, cross this highway safely. These bridges and other structures similar to them are designed to mitigate the impacts of road construction on the affected species and ecosystems, and could be a valuable conservation strategy for future roads built in Amazonia.
