First, the law school&#8217;s\u00a0accrediting agency (the ABA)\u00a0<strong><em>requires<\/em><\/strong> us to collect information on every degree candidate\u2019s post-graduation employment status (including salary) and to report this information in the aggregate. Second, the data we report directly impacts the law school\u2019s reputation \u2013 something we all care about. Finally, the data also help us to improve our CDO programs and services for you and for the classes that come after you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instructions for\u00a0Completing the Survey<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(1)\u00a0Please login to <a href=\"https:\/\/c58-shib.symplicity.com\/sso\/\">Symplicity <\/a>with your netid and password.<\/p>\n<p>(2) Once you have logged on, click on \u201cGraduate Survey\u201d under the \u201cShortcuts\u201d on the right side of the page.<\/p>\n<p>(3) Read the instructions carefully, and fill out every field that applies\u00a0to you (many fields are required and you will be unable to save the changes until you have filled out the required fields).\u00a0 If you find information already populated in your form, be sure to carefully review the information and make any necessary changes or additions.<\/p>\n<p>As you fill out the form, be aware that from time to time, depending on the fields you select, the screen will refresh and new information will appear; this is to ensure that you do not have to complete fields that do not apply to you.\u00a0 If the screen begins to refresh, give it a few seconds, scroll down to where you left off, and complete the rest of the information. Contact your career advisor if you have questions about completing the Survey.<\/p>\n<p>Note that \u201cenrolled in a full-time degree or certificate program\u201d applies only if you are planning to pursue further education upon your graduation from Richmond Law.<\/p>\n<p>(4) Once you have entered all of the required information, click \u201cSubmit\u201d or &#8220;Save&#8221; to record the form.\u00a0 By submitting or saving, you are confirming that all information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>(5) Once we receive your completed survey by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 6 and review it for accuracy, you will receive an email to stop by the CDO to pick up a $10 Starbucks gift card.\u00a0We hope you will use the gift card to invite a potential employer, client, colleague or referral source out to coffee and build your network.<\/p>\n<p>We will report final data on your class as of March 15, 2017 (ten months after graduation), and will want to be able to report the most up-to-date information.<\/p>\n<p>For those of you who still are seeking the right career opportunity, please set up a meeting with your career advisor to strategize about your employment search. The CDO will be available to provide support even after you leave campus.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for your assistance with this process.
