Many federal agencies accept applications on a rolling basis for internships and post-graduate opportunities, while others have firm deadlines.\u00a0 You can find these opportunities by checking out USAjobs.gov<\/a> (set up an alert to receive announcements), visiting the websites of agencies that do work you are interested in, or reviewing the Government Honors Program Handbook<\/a> (includes some state honors programs as well). You will need a\u00a0 password from the CDO to access the Handbook (the CDO pays a subscription fee for all students to have access). In addition, positions are sometimes posted in Symplicity.\u00a0 Alumni working in federal government positions are willing to speak with students about their work.\u00a0 Schedule an appointment with your career advisor to discuss alumni contacts in your preferred agency.<\/p>\n
