The Class of 2017 may now apply for an Equal Justice Works post-graduate fellowship. The application period runs from July 6 to September 16, 2016. Click here for the application timeline and form. Click here to download the EJW application guide.
As the deadline approaches, applicants will search for host organizations and write proposals for projects that will serve vulnerable communities and stand out from the applicant pool. Fellows are chosen based on their project’s impact and innovation, the quality of their proposed host organization, the groundwork laid for future work, and, of course, the Fellow’s individual strengths.
The Equal Justice Works Fellowship Program is very competitive, receiving hundreds of applications each year for approximately 60 Fellowship slots. To be considered, you must be a qualified and passionate lawyer who has developed a new and innovative legal project that can impact lives and serve communities in desperate need of legal assistance. Register for one of the EJW webinars that will cover how to prepare and complete a successful application. The presentation is intended for law students and recent graduates interested in pursuing a public interest legal career as well as law school professionals who advise students on fellowship and other public interest career opportunities and host sites seeking to become involved in the process.
Planning for your fellowship will help you develop your proposal and application. Join Equal Justice Works for an informational webinar about the Fellowship selection process, and learn how to design a winning project. Register here for an upcoming session:
