The Breakfast Club on Lilith (Gardner, Palmer, Torey, Nick)

Our group discussion today was based around the role of Lilith, her sin, what she means to people, and God’s confusion on the matter. We believed her sin was her rebelliousness, and as a result one hundred of her children are killed everyday. To some, she represents the values of women and their sexuality. Lastly, we discussed the possibility of God not being perfect. He is described in The Alphabet of Ben Sira as confused on the matter of Adam and Eve, which appeared to us as a flaw. Maybe he made a mistake, and we thought this correlates to people being made in his image and being able to make mistakes as well
