Genesis 1-3 :)

Genesis 1-3 stems from a priestly source: lacks a lot of color, focuses on the history and concerns the institutionalization of the Jewish calendar. We talked about the creation of humanity in Genesis 1. We said the first creation was God creating humans in His image, thus creating a personal relationship with each other. The subsequent creation in Genesis 2 states that Adam was created out of the dust and Eve was made from him. Genesis 2’s source is J, which is concerned on colorful, anthropomorphic variables. This author tells us about human relationship and how a hierarchy exists between male and female.  These two sources espouse different views: the first, God and the human’s relationship. The second, the relationship between male and female. We thought the aside that looks at the geographical location of the garden of Eden as interesting because it grounds the story to the real world.
