Noah

In class today, we took a first look at the Noah story. It has many parallels with other Ancient Near Eastern myths, but in Genesis it is an indictment for human wickedness. We also looked at Gen 7:11 as the description of the undoing of the creation story. Here the heavens and earth become closer together, instead of distancing as in the end of Gen 1-3.
