Early Cosmologies- Kevin, Sharon and Parr

These readings made us understand the literary story of Gen 1-3 is very much like other early Near Eastern cosmologies. There are some differences and similarities, but ultimately they mutually benefited one another. They made us appreciate Gen 1-3 more, because we now have something from that time to compare it to. Before reading these two additional stories, we did not know what ancient texts sounded like or what style they were in.
