Bloom’s Taxonomy

Today we discussed the importance of setting near eastern creation epics and myths next to Genesis. Genesis has been influenced by these epics. The stories have similarities that can fill in the gaps and questions that someone may have in Genesis.  Enuma Elish and Gilgamesh represent different parts of Genesis. For example Enuma Elish harps on the actual creation of the world and the Image of God(s). Gilgamesh has a striking similarity to the Garden of Eden story and mortality/immortality.
