Genesis 1-3: Sharon, Parr, Kevin

Today, we discussed about the different interpretation of the creation and the fall. The most relevant difference we found today is that one version implies that man and women were created at the same time, while the other version implies that woman was created after and from a man. We thought that the one interpretation implies the equality between man and women, while the other implies woman is subordinate to man. We also talked about how our previous knowledge of the story of creation is different from the text. We thought that the fruit was apple and the snake represents satan, but today, we found out that it’s only a rhetoric.
