Binding of Issac

Today, we discussed the controversial issue of Abraham about to sacrifice Isaac. We talked about how the story is relatively not taken seriously because the readers know that Isaac will live. However, by placing ourselves in the shoes of Abraham, we began to understand the emotions that Abraham had. We also noted how strange it was how Abraham was so quick to ask God to save the people of Sodom, but when he is told to sacrifice his son, he doesn’t argue back.
