Documentaries and Moreland

Moreland argues that scholars and archaeologists should become more involved in the production of documentaries to increase the accuracy of the information. The visual effects and dramatic soundtrack that accompany a documentary, while aesthetically pleasing, are not helpful in educating the general public about current scholarly findings. Moreland assesses the value and limitations of current documentaries to strengthen his argument. In class, we used his argument to evaluate documentaries related to the Flood story.
