Lilith

The Alphabet of Ben Sira explains a story with the perspective that Lilith was wrong to disobey God and Adam while The Coming of Lilith describes how Lilith did have a reasonable argument for free will and both God and Adam were in the wrong. Like The Apocalypse of Moses, these two represent sympathy for the woman in “The Fall”. Unlike most Biblical readings, Plaskow explains how even God made a bad decision in punishing Lilith, however, Plaskow does tell the story in a way where God does benefit and learn from his mistake.
