Team Dyno-Mite

Today we discussed in depth the interpretations of Genesis 1. One of the things we talked about was discussed by Niditch and her writings about the value of men and women in Genesis. Our discussion on this centered around the idea that men and women were equal in the eyes of God, which was the idea presented in Genesis 1, and how this differs in views of women later in the bible and in a larger historical context. We also discussed the other interpretations in Genesis 1:1 and their affect on the basic conceptions of God and how his existence pertains to space, time, and the cosmos.
