Team Dyno-Mite 9-15

Today in class we discussed several concepts involving different methods of interpretation of Biblical texts that early Christians performed. We explored the ideas of Literal and Allegorical interpretation and how they differ but do not conflict. We also talked about how the four-fold interpretations added depth to the Early Christian interpretation and allowed Christians to accept different meanings for the same text. We differentiated the concepts of typology and allegory and how they both go beyond the literal/historical interpretations.
