In “Dissoi Logoi” it talks about “man as a measure,” meaning that text needs a human agent in order to be interpreted. Text does not have meaning in and of itself. Different interpretive approaches kept the text relevant for future generations, and different interpretations add new meaning and understanding through varying perspectives.
