Schwartz- Parr, Kevin and Sharon

For this discussion we looked at a short excerpt from Schwartz. This passage is about how the laws of the Torah changed over time. For each generation, the Torah was reapplied by and to its readers. Each time this happen their own interpretation made it back into the text. These cultural and environmental changes over time can actually be seen in the text. One can go back into history and see what mattered when, just by reading old texts.
