Late Night LoRo Documentary Hypothesis Minute Paper

Our discussion focused primarily on the different arguments regarding the Documentary Hypothesis. In particular, we spent a great deal of time investigating the stylistic differences which suggest multiple authors. This part of the discussion focused on the usage of different names for God and the artistic versus factual style used in the J and P sources. We also discussed the reasons for the inclusion of multiple versions of the same stories. Some time was also spent discussing reasons that Moses could not have written the Pentateuch.
