Documentary Analysis – Parr, Sharon, Kevin

Today, we discussed the different arguments for and against the Documentary Hypothesis. The Documentary Hypothesis is the view that the Pentateuch is not written by Moses alone, but it came from at least four different sources. One argument that favors the Documentary Hypothesis is that in Jahwist and Priestly, God was addressed in different names. One criticism is that the books’ information directly contradicts with each other.
